2016 Scottish Craft Butchers Training Awards

Tuesday, 8th Nov 2016

The finalists have been selected and invited to attend the SFMTA AGM at Houston House Hotel on 20th November 2016 for the Awards Ceremony - where the winners will be announced.

The judges were very impressed with the high standard of all the nominations that were received and were hard pressed to make their final selections. Indeed in two of the categories they couldn’t decide on only two finalists and three have gone through.

This is the first year of what is destined to become an annual Craft Butchers Training Awards and we were delighted with the response from our assessors, trainees, training partners and their customers who all nominated.

Scottish Meat Training are very appreciative of the ongoing support that we receive from all of our trainees and their employers. We are delighted that these awards are recognising some of the outstanding talent that we have going through the Modern Apprentice training programme.

Congratulations to all our finalists and a big thank you to all those who were nominated.

We don’t find butchers we make them!! Employ for attitude – train for skills.
