The installation of Perth butcher Beaton Lindsay as President of the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders is the third generation of his family to have worn the chain.

2012 IAN FAULDS ELECTED SFMTA PRESIDENT
Kilmarnock butcher Ian Faulds was elected President of the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders at the Annual General Meeting held at the town’s Park Hotel on Sunday 25th November. Ian takes over as the leader of Scotland's Craft Butchers from Bowmore butcher Billy McFarlane.

2010 BILLY McFARLANE ELECTED SFMTA PRESIDENT
Bowmore butcher, Billy McFarlane was elected President of the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders at their Annual General Meeting held in Perth on Tuesday 23rd November 2010.
2008 STUART CHRISTIE ELECTED SFMTA PRESIDENT
Stuart Christie of Christie Meats in Hardgate, West Dunbartonshire was elected President of SFMTA on 30th November 2008
2006 JAMIE CHAPMAN ELECTED SFMTA PRESIDENT'
The 2006 Annual General Meeting was held at the Best Western Popinjay Hotel, Rosebank in the Clyde Valley. Jamie Chapman of Chapman Butchers in Wishaw was elected President.
2004 RETIRAL OF TRAINING MANAGER
Training and Development Manager Moira Brady retired at the end of June after 24 years service with the Federation. President Mark Barnett made this tribute at the June Executive Meeting:
2003 PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS

Leven Butcher Mark Barnett has been elected the President of the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders. Butchers from all over Scotland gathered in Lundin Links this week for their Annual General Meeting and to install their youngest President since 1973.

Retired Dundee Master Butcher Ernest J Black was well known throughout Scotland for his role as Secretary of the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders from 1977 to 1983.
