2001 DUNCAN McKENZIE ELECTED SFMTA PRESIDENT
Greenock butcher, Duncan MacKenzie was elected President of the Scottish Federation of Meat Traders Associations at their AGM on Sunday 18th November.
Duncan is the fifth generation butcher in a Greenock business established 90 years ago. Before entering the family business Duncan (42) worked with FMC in Dumfries and also at Deltys Supermarkets in London.
In charge of his own shop for the last twenty years the new Scottish President has held Presidency of the Paisley United Fleshers Society for the past four years and played an integral role in training the young Scottish butchers who won the 1999 Four Nations competition.
Duncan will be assisted in his year in office by his partner Susan Watson who is the Secretary of the Paisley United Fleshers Society.
