2015 MEAT SKILLS SCOTLAND

Dedication and innovation of young butchers celebrated at Meat Skills Final. The winners, sponsored by the Scotch Butchers Club (Quality Meat Scotland), are both from Aberdeenshire and employees of the same butchers business - Davidson Specialist Butchers, based in Inverurie.

2011 MEAT SKILLS SCOTLAND COMPETITION

Two Scottish butchers have shown their meat mettle by beating off stiff competition to scoop the Scotch Butchers Club Meat Skills Scotland Championship title.

2009 MEAT SKILLS NORTHERN IRELAND

Four finalists in each category - Under 22 and Over 22 - contested the finals held on Sunday 6th September in the Castle Upton Suite at the Hilton Hotel, Templepatrick.

2007 MEAT SKILLS SCOTLAND COMPETITION

Eight contestants thrilled the audience at the Scottish Meat Trades Fair in Perth on Sunday 13th May. The outcome despite a very fierce challenge from all the other finalists was a win for the two defending champions. Prizes were presented by Uel Morton, Chief Executive of Quality Meat Scotland.

INTERNATIONAL BUTCHER

Young Butcher of the Year 2006, Gary Raeburn from Forbes Raeburn and Sons in Huntly, Aberdeenshire represented Scotland at the Irish Retail Show held at City West near Dublin on Sunday 5th November 2006. The event was organised by the Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland.
