320 products, 32 judges, 1 busy day at Stirling Campus of Forth Valley College

Beefburgers: 66 entries were received and there was 1 Diamond, 24 Gold and 31 Silver awards.

Speciality Burgers: 162 entries were received and there was 1 Diamond, 31 Gold and 82 Silver awards.

Unsmoked Bacon 56 entries were received and there was 1 Diamond, 14 Gold and 30 Silver awards.

Smoked Bacon 30 entries were received and there was 1 Diamond, 14 Gold and 11 Silver awards.

Results will be announced week commencing 16th April at the SFMTA Regional meetings in Carfraemill, Stepps, Elgin and Perth.

In the Speciality Burger Evaluation the three final judges (below), all trained chefs, considered nine products as selected by the judging tables. The final judges whittled the field down to two and then debated which was the better of the two. The winner will receive the trophy and Diamond Award.
