Judging Day at Forth Valley College

2018 Speciality Sausage Evaluation and regional heats of 2018 Sliced Sausage Championship were judged on Friday 17th August.




276 products were judged by 32 judges at the Craft Butchers Product Evaluation held at the Stirling Campus of Forth Valley College.




The Sliced Sausage Championship is sponsored by McAusland Crawford and this is now at the stage where the five regional champions have been established. Mystery shopping will be undertaken and products presented for a second stage judging.




Results will be announced at the Craft Butchers Regional meetings that will be held in the third week of September and will be online after each of these events.




The awards in the Speciality Sausage Evaluation will be announced by sponsors, Dalesman Group at the Craft Butchers Regional meetings during September.




Above: Kevin Greenhorn, Robyn Boyle and Ruari Chatburn the judges for the final of the Speciality Sausage Evaluation. The Diamond Award was a close run thing with three extremely good sausages causing the judges great debate. Their winner will be announced in September.
