We are one of Scotlands premier butchers and game dealers, specialising in wholesale, retail and mail order beef, pork, lamb and game.
We supply Highland, Aberdeen Angus & Shorthorn Beef, all Scottish native breeds from our own farm. The animals are reared as extensively as possible and fed on only natural feeds with no hormones or growth promoters used - ever! During the summer, all the animals are kept on grass pasture and are out wintered on silage and hay. In the winter months, the young and fattening animals are brought inside and fed on a mixture of silage and barley. Again. all the feed is produced on our farms ensuring quality and continuity of supply. The beef that we supplly is hung for a minimum of 21 days so that the meat is well matured and tender.
Our lamb is extensively reared on Morayshire hill farms and is from breeds native to Scotland. Scottish lamb is at its best between July and December, with the fuller flavoured hogget being available after the New Year. The sandy soils of lower Moray facililitate the rearing of outdoor pigs, and our pork is of the highest quality and consistency.
We have a wide range of venison and game always available and make our own sausages, black pudding and haggis directly on our premises. So come and visit our shop in Tolbooth St, Forres for all your fresh meat requirements.
